There are steps that you can take to make sure your privacy is protected. I am an ex police officer (had to medically retired in 2000). On Facebook, you have to set each app to a certain setting. For instance, my pictures - some can be viewed by "friends" only, some can be viewed by "friends of friends" (this one I use for my items I have for sale). Some no one can see other than myself. I also have what I call my "gamers". They have no access to anything other than my name (I have old friends from high school find me). I also have my privacy settings so that only friends can see what I or other friends have posted.

Then on my cell phone--When I do take a picture with it, it's not anything that I put on the internet or send through texts. I also don't have the GPS activated.

My digital camera, I don't have a GPS on it.

You really have to know how to set up a page on FB, My Space, or any of those type pages.
