It seems like in sewing I do what I do in cooking....look at the directions and then say....mmm but I want to do it a little different.

Here's my effort at a bow tuck this afternoon. I've already got my machine scheduled for a service and boy does it show that I really need it worked on.

The cow purse is to hold some "moola".

The springy little tote is what I ended up with when I kept looking at pictures and thought " I can do that too but want it smaller". Duh, I didn't take the edges into account correctly when I "shrunk" the sizes in my mind. I didn't have pattern to go from when I did it.

Now I have the actual pattern and still didn't follow directions. I wanted the handles to go all the way down the front sides of the pockets so there'd be more "cow" showing.

I used a cloudy plastic for the inside pockets that I saw someone else use

I liked how the handles looked going all the way down to the edging

My no pattern trial

I only put 1 pocket on one side since it was so small
