You can fold it over the machine part but not down the sides of the cabinet. So it has to be open on both sides to use it. The back piece folds down. It would be nice if you could fold the sides down when you dont need it open all the way. No my platform dosnt wobble it has a million screws to hold it in place but you do need to adjust them to get the platform to be level.
After I thought about it a minute it made sense to me what you said and you're right, it would be nice to be able to fold them down while in use.

But hey guys, don't get too excited about this cabinet yet. We are having a heck of a time getting the platform both level and square. Right now, it's finally level but not sitting square in the cutout of the cabinet and so when raising to the highest position the edge of the platform hits the edge of the cutout. My husband is a handy guy with a technical background and he's not too impressed with this thing. The only way he can figure to fix it is to drill new mounting holes in the platform so that it sits back away from the edge of the cutout. I told him to hold off until after I contact the company. Kind of a bummer.
Plus, it kind of seems like I'm too tall for it. I know I need a good adjustable chair but...
It's like there's not enough room under there for me to stretch my leg out with the pedal.
