My work in progress is a tee shirt quilt and those require a stabilizer for sure.
For the tee shirts I used lightweight iron on fusible and applied it with the grain perpendicular to the grain of the teeshirts to make it even more stable.

With slippery fabrics I would suggest doing test to be sure they can withstand the heat required to fuse. When you go to buy your fusible you will see the different weights it comes in and for which types of fabrics each is recommended. I would go with the lightest weight you can, so your quilt will stay soft.
