I did the same with drapery samples. I pulled the book apart and cut off the stapled/glued side. I sorted all of the pieces into 100% cotton and cotton/poly or cotton/linen. I made a beautiful scrappy quilt with the 100% cotton. Used a beige lightweight denim as my blender.

There's a little sentimentality to this story. The book had been given to me by a cousin who owned an interior design shop. He passed away so after the quilt was finished, I gave it to his younger brother. He treasures it.
