Most everything that I work on, be it for my family, for our friends, for charity, I "bond" with them. It is a very personal thing with me and I love them, each differently, each the same. Each square of a particular fabric means something to me. I know where I got it, who I got it from, why I am putting it in a particular spot.

I keep a book to go to the person I have made the quilt for, so that he/she understands the work that has gone into it, why I used a particular pattern and what I want to convey to them about me and why I am making this quilt.

Oh, yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. Don't ever lose that feeling because it is what makes you a quilter. Your heart and soul is in that quilt/whatever.
