I have to laugh at myself! Half the loading job was done for me, and I still managed to attach the opposite end to the leader backwards. With lots of pins, close together. And used the wrong thread, so it broke every time I got my speed up. And I still can't get comfortable with the bungee cord tension clamping -- should I clamp only top layer? All four layers? All this time I am so intensely concentrating on how to thread the machine to make it sew correctly, only to find a cable is a little lose inside the handle of the stitch regulator - that explains why all my button pushing, lever-letting and bobbin checking and re-checking is not making the machine sew. And my mother, age 82, is so excited to see this wonderful machine in action, she is standing at the middle of the frame asking when it's going to start and am I nervous! Ha, ha. She is so precious. She still has confidence in me and my ability to work miracles with automated machinery. "After all", she says, "you drove us from Milwaukee through downtown Chicago in afternoon traffic and made it to the airport on time just by listening to that crazy lady in the GPS."

Maybe I need a GPS on my Grand Quilter! LOL

Happy Quilting,
Ramona
