I was wondering about this as I finished a quilt for a door prize at my daughter's school. I always sign the quilts I make that I keep and also those that go to family and friends. But what about charity quilts? I sometimes do (keeping it small and inconspicuous) and sometimes don't, but when I don't, it somehow feels like I'm sending the quilt out "unfinished". And what about when you're commissioned to make someone a quilt - do you sign the back on those?
I would love to get your thoughts on this and how you approach signing your quilts.
