Hello all -
I only like to post finished projects, so I thought I'd try something different with this one. I've been wanting to start this for a while for a good friend of mine. It will be a Jacob's Ladder nap-size quilt with brights on a black background. I could see it in my head, even before I had put the fabric together. There are 12 colors that are solid or read as solid; about half of them came from our stash, and we purchased the rest for this project. If I like this one, I may try to do another one with a white background.
I had meant to try Rhonda's method of HST on this project, but I jumped into the cutting step before I thought about it and then it was too late. I do want to try it, but I'll have to save it for another project.
I spent about 2 hours on Sunday cutting the strips and squares, and another couple of hours tonight sewing the triangles and strip sets together. I'm taking pictures along the way so I can give them and the narrative to my friend with the quilt.
Hopefully posting here will keep me moving on this.
Thanks for looking.
Darren
