My sister was recently diagnosed with cancer of the stomach, so I am making her a quilt to keep her warm during her treatments. They feel pretty sure they got it all, and are using the one pill a day for a year treatment. Her scan didn't show any places where it had spread. Prayers and positive thoughts please.
I am making the quilt red, white, blue and yellow. The r, w, & b are her favorites and I'm throwing in the yellow for sunshine and positivity!!!
The quilt will be mixed squares but not exactly a sampler.. more like an as the spirit moves me quilt, smiles. I will use some of my favorite 9 patch variations, and some random strips made from my scraps of squares, rectangles and triangles. And somehow I will have to impose some order on the thing so it won't make her naseous in the end result. LOL.
