I tried the one with the little edge guide too, only it soes not sew a scant 1/4 seam. I still prefer vintage parts for vintage machines. The gauge presser foot (find it on ebay and expect to pay about 50 to 75 dollars for it)is the best because you can add the bars at the back for the guide, the foot is narrow, and totally adjustable. Otherwise tape works fine, but in the long run can damage the vintage surface of a featherweight and thus hurt the value.:)
