Hello everyone.

I just happened to land here in the wee hours of the morning as I was doing a search for quilting tools. In my search Sharon Schaumer's Halo came up and it linked me to this message board.

I'm going to assume that it's a sign from the Quilting Angels. I haven't spent too much time here yet but so far it seems like a great place.

About the Halo? I'm going to pass on that but maybe have my brother (the handyman) help me rig something up.

It's a little funny that I would be hunting down quilting tools because three weeks ago after I finished a quilt for my granddaughter I swore off ever starting another quilt. I have a finished top that needs to be quilted and then two other projects that need finishing but once those are done I'm supposed to give it up.

I'm thinking.............why am I here? I'm here because I can still make table runners and pot holders and baby quilts when the great grandchildren start showing up. Those I can manage.

To introduce myself, I'm 63 years young and I've been retired for eight years. My husband is also retired and we have three sons altogether. Our oldest boys are from previous marraiges and then we have one son together. We have two beautiful granddaughters who are young ladies both in college and two rough and tumble little grandsons eight and four.

I took up quilting when my last grandson was born and made him a baby quilt. I'm pretty new to it and learn more from my mistakes than anything else. I tried taking a couple of different classes but I'm sorry to say they didn't work out well because I just felt that the teachers could have been a little more patient.
I forget what brand of rotary cutter I have but that was the first comment one gal gave me, the rotary cutter she had was better. Another comment was ...........why did you choose these fabrics? And I had always heard there were no Quilt Police.

So here I am. This seems like a very friendly place. Thanks Gals.
