For the amount of money your friend is going to spend, my choice would be to "shop the dealer". I'm sure the machines are both good, but which dealer is going to give the support and lessons and the best experience overall.

The bottom line is that you have to have a person (dealer) you can rely on so you can get the most from your machine.

Just my humble opinion and who has a WONDERFUL Pfaff dealer. (But I don't have the Vision)
