You are very fortunate to have one given to you. I got mine as a gift and because I was present at the purchase, I happen to know it cost $300.00! That was 5 years ago...and it continues to hold its value.
Secondly, it stitches like a dream. The machine itself is small and light weight and the threading of it is very straight forward. My machine is beautiful! It is black with lovely gold scroll work. And lastly, it brings me back to a simpler time and for some reason that brings me great pleasure!
