If it were mine I would add some plain borders, maybe one in a light fabric from the quilt and one in a dark. Whatever you decide I'm sure the end result will be great!
After starting to sew it together, I've decided against sashing. I like the way the triangles on the edges come together as a square. I don't want to lose that.
