I agree with SEWDARNBUSY. I spray baste also, usually with the WM brand. No, it doesn't gum up the needle.
Yes, spraying is smelly and messy if you don't do it correctly, but I will use anything that is fast and gets the job done in half the time! :lol: I use only the least amount of spray so I don't get it on the floor. It does wash out after the first washing when I finish quilting. I learned to pin baste my first quilt,which was a queen-sized yellow brick road. What a pain!!!! Never again. :hunf:
