Any of you addicted to applique will appreciate this. I came across this method to get tiny/narrow stems and lines in a book of multicolor flowers by Jane Townswick. She uses a "Hera" marker....never heard of it.
But I got out an old pizza cutter and it works. Using a ruler and the pizza cutter you heavily score the fabric with lines as close as you wish. Mind shown here are less than 1/4 inch and I know it could do it closer. Cut. Finger press and sew. Awsome eh! I'll show you the block when I'm finished and with this mega storm coming I may have a lot of time on my hands.
The green line is bias fold and the brown stem is the pizza cutter way. Hope it's clear enough.
