If you have lots of fabric left, what you called waste, think about that in the borders somehow, just a thought. I have done that in a few borders, with another color, like creme, & it's made for an interesting, & different, not to mention, original border. Otherwise, some additional strip borders would be nice, & pick up some of the colors you used in the quilt. But I like it, great job, & don't worry if all the seams don't match up perfectly, I doubt they are suppose to at this point.
