This is my very first time making a quilt with a design. I made my grandchildren quilts with just plain 6 in blocks of 3 different colors. Trust me, I have learned lots on this quilt. I think the biggest item I learned, was the cutting of the fabric, to only cut two thickness of fabric at a time (Rotary cutting) until I get use to it. To make sure my pieces are 100% the same size. The next item, make sure you have a good sewing machine (that works proper), so it does not keep messing up on every piece you sew. PRESS PRESS PRESS..lol Now..is where I need more sugestions, of anything else I can do to make my quilts look better each time?

My first official quilt (Self learner)
