This was posted by one of my members and I think it is the greatest. At my group we save all the itsy-bitsy clippings of threads/fabrics/batting and pass them onto our local Age Concern who gets pennies per ton of them from the modern Rag-n-bone man, what she does is:
Clip an old pillowcase to your quilting table and drop all of them in there, when there is enough to make a comfy bed, don't over-stuff cos of the weight when you wash, stitch the end together, and you have a nice little comfy bed for your favourite fur-baby.
My added tip is to add another pillowcase which you can wash when needed. :idea:
Good idea, but my furbabies are too big for a pillow size bed. My dogs have a queen size camper mattress on the floor with an old sheet on it. They actually prefer sleeping with me.
