I like to sew appliques on a treadle machine - anything fine and that needs exact placement of stitches...Tip your feet, the needle goes down...if the stitch isn't right, tip your feet the other way and the needle goes back up!

you don't have to move your hands!

I don't know of any new fancy sewing machine that does this, because you have to use your hands to use the switches J
