I got to thinking about what I have accomplished since I joined QB in Nov 2010

I began with:
*2 boxes of scraps inherited from my late Mom. The fabric
scraps are from childhood clothes she sewed for us as kids.
Her plan was to make quilts for my 2 brothers & me. I
inherited the boxes in 2007 & set out to learn how to quilt so
I could make them.
*A sewing area in one bedroom, consisting of a little desk & my
machines.
*2 sewing machines: a Featherweight (mine since I was 12) &
a Singer 403a (inherited from my Mom) & a 1980’s Kenmore.
*1 Beginning quilting class, taken Fall of 2009 at a quilting store
(now known as a LQS).
*2 quilts made.
*No clue about: sewing rooms, fabric stashes, destashing,
ironing big boards, machine quilting, FMQ, long arm quilting,
LQS, free patterns, DQ’s, PIF’s, quilt swaps, and so on.

Fast forward 3 months & I now have:
*A sewing studio in the making. I've rearranged, bought a
sewing cabinet & portable tables, hung pegboard, etc. & will be
doing more this spring to finish my "studio".
*A growing passion for vintage sewing machines & am
searching for a Singer 15-91 or Singer 301 to add to
my “collection”.
*A desire to learn FMQ (hence the search for the 15-91 or
301) so I’m taking a FMQ class at my LQS in March.
*A fabric stash thanks to a couple of PIF’s from QB members,
a number of purchases from QB members, and from stalking
fabric sales everytime I’m in a fabric store.
*A collection of quilting books, along with printouts of free
patterns, not to mention all the bookmarks & pdf files saved
on my computer.
*I cruise CL for sewing machines & fabric almost as much as I
hang out here.
*Finished quilt projects since Nov: 3 quilts, 1 DQ, 2 blocks for
a memory quilt donation, 3 fleece scarves, 1 sewing machine
cover.
*WIP projects: Christmas placemats, 2 baby blankets,
Wallhanging for my sewing studio, & blocks for a Soldier’s quilt.
*Planned projects: 2 wedding quilts by April, Feb DQ swap,
birthday quilts by June, August, October & November, my quilt
from Mom’s scraps.
*And a serious addiction to QB.
