I started this last week but could only work on it during the afternoon (usually went into town during the mornings) when I could see the colors on the chart best.
You have 6 different color strip sets. You don't usually need all the colors in that strip set so that mean unsewing the colors you need in that set and sewing it back together. So, not your typical bargello. DH said it would drive him nuts but I thought of it as following a cross stitch chart.
Here are pics along the way. Strips are cut 1 1/2", sewn together and then cut again in 1"-2" widths.
The design is by Dereck C. Lockwood. His version ended with a white border but I thought I wanted more. Mine is 45" x 45" with 1,841 pieces.
