It's not that scary to me, but I grew up in New England and the Adirondacks. It just sucks. It's dangerous in this part of the country because towns and people are not equipped to deal with it.
Two years ago, we had an epic ice storm here- THAT was dangerous- Tulsa alone lost nearly a million trees, and 650K people did not have power in the frigid temperatures- lines were down and live, and the connections snapped off of houses. Plus- ice is much more dangerous than snow.
Sounds nice up until you hear about the power problems, so I guess I wouldn't think too much about your snow storms!
