I did the exact same thing as the son, however I was able to get the ink out with pump hair spray just yesterday. This all happened BEFORE either my son or husband got home from school and work! Thank goodness I found it before I put the clothes away, non the less it worked on 4 pair of jeans and 3 t-shirts. The pen ended up on my son's bed with a note attached saying that if I ever wash an other pen his clothes will remain stained!
