Thank you all so much for the great suggestions. I have gotten into the quilting of this little wallhanging pretty far so will probably finish the way I started. But never again will I quilt one of these in the ditch. Looks like a waste of time----busy work.
I want to make my son a summer type quilt--log cabin style. Will find another quilting pattern for that.
