Joann's sells a dye grabber which is good for a number of washings. I think the item sells for about five dollars USA.

Usually I am able to purchase the Shout brand color catchers in the laundry section of the supermarkets or at WalMart stores. My friend cuts them in half and always uses one in each laundry load. I don't do that but use one in loads where I might need them. If in doubt, I will use two or more in the first laundry.

I don't work for S. C. Johnson & Co. of Racine. The box states made in Ireland. Shout Color Catcher/ 24 in-wash cloths/ www.SHOUTITOUT.com/
SKU # 4650062248.

Last summer my DH unknowingly laundered a maroon tee shirt along with his good kakhi slacks. Of course, he didn't notice the color difference until the items had been dried in the automatic dryer. Then he called me at work!! :) :) I suggested he not go out to buy new slacks for the trip we were going on the following day before he attempted to rewash the items with Shout color catchers. I asked him to re-wash
the kakhi slacks in warm water, regular detergent and five or six Shout
color catchers. Everything turned out fine and I ended up buying boxes
of these dye catchers for family members. :)

Now, I am a stinker and send along the tip when I give away a quilt. I no longer preshrink my 100 percent cotton quilt store quality fabric prior to construction.

Piecefully yours,
Kay Susan
