I have PIPS - projects in plastic. Either zip-lok bags, plastic scrapbooking organizers. Also projects in "photo storage boxes" - guess those are PIBS. Sometimes I get the bug to do a lot of cutting - will cut 2 or 3 complete kits and have them ready for when I get the bug to sew. Years ago before I was a quilter I was a stitcher - needlepoint, cross stitch. My girlfriend and I had a pact that when either of us died the other would go and clear out all the closets and underbed storage so our husbands would not know how much "stash" we had. A knit shop owner recently told me of a request by the husband of her deceased friend to come in and check her stash - she had boxes and boxes and boxes of yarn sorted with the pattern, needles sizes she would need and any other notions (markers, stitch holders, etc.) all in plastic bags, tote bags, reusable grocery bags. She had over 100 projects ready to go. Makes me feel a little better - I'm not quite that bad
