I've got a Mega Quilter and find that I need to use the same thread on top and bottom -- if I use connecting threads cotton, I need it top and bottom. MY LQS sells a 50 weight I've had good luck with also, but top and bottom need to be same brand of thread. Are you threading it from the left side? You can't sew on it if you go into the needle from the right.

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the black batting. Have never used black before but it does feel a bit harsh.
I quilted on a sample using the same materials except for the batting which I didn't have yet. The one I used for sample was a white cotton batting.
Have anyone had this problem? I don't know where to go for answers. I've been reading the Message Board and have gotten a lot of good tips. Would appreciate anybody's input. Thanks so much.
