New-to-me, but a gently used 2008 bought in 2009. Already had my first "lint freeze up". But she appears to be back on track for me to learn on as of today. Yesterday just didn't work well for us - first the problem w/my new machine, then DH got another blue screen on my computer... Last nite finally gave it all up & had a couple glasses of wine & watched a movie after supper.

Now to start my machine quilting learning curve not quite from the beginning as I'm loading up my second charity quilt on this machine. Have been using a Brother 1500s (9" throat) on a New Joy Gold Standard Frame I brought home last July. Have managed to finish about 14 quilts for our guilds charity donations (not bad considering I started teaching f/t again late October) and getting comfortable at least with the pantographs. The first one on the Tin Lizzie leaves a bit to be desired. Took most of the quilt to figure out how to lift the bobbin thread w/needle thread; still working out getting the tension right for my thread - up to the last couple runs, couldn't work out the loopies on the back. Using pantographs from the rear is a bit different that using pantographs from the front w/the over the machine shelf on the New Joy. But it's gonna be fun learning...:) Now that it's up and running again, I am a happy camper!
