I make strip quilts. I cut pieces of muslin in 1.5" squares and sew the strips diagonally across the muslin. After I trim the edges, the blocks are ready to sew together.
Lay the first piece face up, corner to corner. Lay the next piece right side together with the first piece, sew the edge, flip open and press. Continue until all the muslin is covered.
