Hope your foot surgery goes well, maybe you can get someone to bring you the sewing machine, or if you get down stairs, maybe before your surgery set your sewing area up so you can do all your work sitting down. bring your ironing board within a tri-angle of your machine and lower it so you can sit, also a portable table nearby to do some cutting. I was able to sew a couple days after knee surgery cause I set it up to not have to get up to cut or press. And since I couldn't stand to cook or clean, I got to sit at the sewing machine a lot!!!
