I had a trip planned to another town to WM today for a couple yds of cream muslin. I live literally 1/4 mi from a WM but they don't have fabric & going to Joanns involves some really awful pothole roads & it's just not worth it in my opinion, even with my coupons. The WM I went to has a great fab dept and they have NOT raised prices. There was a big section of clearance stuff too and 3/4 of it was good quality, not the super thin junk I used to see there (at other locations). The cutter was from another dept but she is a quilter & chatted a good while about other area places to buy fabric & what she makes :D

I scored: some really nice, heavyweight muslin like I went in for, $1.50/yd
50/50 bamboo/cotton batting $3/yd
80/20 cotton/poly batting $2/yd that rang up $1.50/yd (big grin, I love this stuff & use it a lot)
wonder under $1.25/yd
a black on black cotton I can use in lots of things, quilt shop quality $2/yd
a purple hand dyed looking cotton I couldn't pass up, very versatile, decent quality, $3/yd
a satin print I just had to have for another satin puff baby quilt, $1/yd

I spent $25 for a ton of quilting stuff including enough batting for a couple quilts! Plus after I left I stopped at the firehouse to visit friends & got 2 (big) quilt orders, woohoo!
