I am making a star quilt for Native American Literature Class as my final project. I have bought the pattern from Diane's Native American Star quilts. It is the Turtle Island Star Quilt halfway down the page with the turtle in the middle of it.

This is for a queen size bed it is 60 square so I want to add a border to make it larger. (this kit only has instructions for the 60 square). The Batting I have for it is 90x108.
I really want to add a basic border because I wont have time to do much more.

I like the border on the turtle quilt. It was the borders, dark green, medium green, and light green.
I was wondering if anyone could help me decide how much more fabric I will need for thoses borders? and how much for the binding on a queen size quilt, how many yards will I need for backing, and what will be the size of my final project?
