I am doing the french rose pattern this way, but didnt have good instructions and only made the backing 1 inch larger than the square and the batting, but there seems to be plenty of room to turn over and stitch. Dont know what possesed me to do a king size, 80, 9" finished blocks and 44 border blocks.LO!!! I have over half the blocks sewed into strips and am hoping to finish up in the next week or two. I am a new quilter and I am learning a lot in the process. I will post a pic of the finished quilt when I get it finished.
