Super interesting thread!! I will be reading it for a couple days :) I just love to hear about other places.
I live in a former coal mining community, used to be a bustling place, complete with a roundhouse and hotels, theater, businesses, etc. Now its as far from that as you can get. We have one restaurant and one gas station. But we do have a post office!
I grew up here, wasn't to bad then, everyone knew everybody back in the 70s when i grew up. I live one block from where i grew up. :) Most of the town now though has gone to rental houses, only some older folks here that own houses here.
I do most of my shopping in Evansville IN, thats where we go to church, and shop, they have Joanns, hobby lobby, Sams club. etc. Would love to move there someday but right now this is where the Lord has us .
