I am taking a long arm class this week at a shop that allows you to rent time on their machine to work on your project. The big scrap quilt (king-size) is about half hand-quilted in an overall clamshell but I haven't worked on it in probably 4 years. So, I'm going to finish it on the long arm and then I'll work on the other one which is my president's quilt...our guild gives a top to outgoing presidents. The blocks were made by different members of the guild. They asked me what kind of blocks I liked and I told them log cabins, house blocks, birdhouses and folk-art flowers. I never imagined that I would get a top with all of those in it!
