I quilt my own too! After I spend that much time and money on putting a quilt together, I want to be the one to finish it. I am not a professional, but I do have a short-arm and frame where I do FMQ with limited space, since my throat is only 9". I have had it since March and can really see my progress. I love learning a new skill!
I enjoy every step of the quilting process and try to have something going in all stages so that I can work on whatever I am in the mood to do at that time.
