Your block look good to me.
On my sample......I used 8" sqs.....sewed 1/4" seam and cut into four triangles. When I measured each triangle....I found a slight difference. Then I trimmed them to 5 1/4" and found they fit together much better.
Can't wait to see all the pinwheels!
