Beautiful quilt! Even though many like to offset straight linear piecing with curved quilting I would prefer to emphasize you beautiful piecing by mimicing the lovers knot in the quilting. I would do a kind of SID but where the lovers knot is supposed to be going over/under I would quilt it that way just like celtic knots.
This is what I would suggest too. It is beautiful and I think anything else would be a distraction from the celtic knots.
