When I make a whole cloth quilt, I have problems cutting it the width and length I need. I've tried folding the fabric in half, and then in half again, putting it on the cutting mat and using the rotary cutter. This doesn't work because of the thickness of the fabric...it comes out askew. I've marked the center of the fabric, measured X inches from the center on all four sides, marked, marked, marked (whew!) then cut with scissors which is a ton of work. Anyone have a better way to do it?
