The challenge for my guild this year was to "Quilt a Song". I knew I wanted to do something with Winter Wolf pattern by Toni Whitney that I had purchased to make for my daughter who loves wolves. I found the song, "Will the Wolf Survive", by Los Lobos and knew it was the right song for my wall hanging. With the big city in the background, pine tree and thicket on the sides, this quilt turned out exactly how I saw it in my head...even the round shape and binding that matches the material in the quilt. This is the first round quilt I have even attempted and the first time I ever matched the binding to the material like this. I used Texture Magic by Superior Threads to create the texture in the bushes and everything was fused to the background material. I quilted it on my Innova 18".
