I do have a few traditional seam rippers, but I also live dangerously and use my tiny rotary cutter to cut threads in a seam. I have to be careful, but for me it is the fastest way to rip out a seam. Guess I'm a "cutting edge" (pun intended) kind of gal! All the little threads that get left behind come up pretty easily with a tape roller.
