6 1/2 inch for the yellow squares 7inch squares of 2 colors placed right sides together, sew 1/4 inch seam around all 4 sides. Then cut from corner to corner both ways that will make the 4 squares for the pinwheel block, turn them to make the pinwheel block , sew together square up to 6 1/2 inches
