Be careful when purchasing "cheap" batiks; you get what you pay for. I had the misfortune of buying some from JoAnns that shrank, bled, and looked awful after washing. I have found that Hoffman and Kauffman are the best and can be purchased at many websites. Examples are Todaysquilting.com and Fabric.com. I've also found that if it does not look the same on both sides (meaning you can't tell the right from wrong side) it isn't a good quality.
