Hi: :D When I bought my Brother BC1000, which has a drop feed dog feature, I was able to drop the feed dog, but could not get it back up. I tried everything I could think of to no avail. I thought I had a defective machine so I returned it for another BC1000 and had the same problem. I discussed this problem with my daughter, who is a long-time fabulous sewer and she suggested that after I flip the switch to bring the feed dog back up that I also turn the large dial on the right-hand side of the machine (you know, the one that will bring your needle up and down). Well, lo and behold it worked. She said she found this out by accident on one of her machines. There are some things your manuals just don't tell you and this is one of them.
