Does anyone have difficulty estimating the amount of fabric needed for a full size quilt when you only have a block pattern giving the size strips to cut for 1 block? Is there a good solution for this problem?
I go to Quilter's Cache for patterns all the time and that's what they do. What I do is take each piece of the pattern listed, multiply that by the number of blocks I'm planning to make, and figure out how many I can get per strip of fabric "x" inches by WOF.
