My graduation machine (thats what I asked for) was a 1972 Viking. I still have it tucked away and don't plan on giving it up. 1972 was the first year they came out with the non oiling machine. It had a 25 year warranty on it, and at 24 years I had some parts replaced and it didn't cost me a thing. They were well built back then. I just had to have the pc board replaced on my new machine. (Not a Viking) 5 year warranty so it was covered. I would hate to see what that would have cost to replace if I would have had to pay for it.
