My son-in-law bought me a junior Kenmore machine to do some mending for him and I saw some cute pink and brown John Deere fabric at Walmart's so decided to make 7 yr old granddaughter a quilt. I sewed a brown border (after buying a book) all around and machine tied it. I think its what is called a one block quilt. As they say, the rest is history. The second was a queen size t-shirt quilt and it took some doing! Don't recommend it for beginners but it threw me into the pool and it was sink or swim. I learned to swim and haven't looked back. I love it.
