Thank you for all the nice comments! I love how supportive you quilters are.

It was fun seeing what the hexagons would look like after cutting. And sewing them together wasn't hard. I did tend to get some puckered middles, but the designs in the blocks hides them, unless you look closely.

I had fun with the 3-D blocks--I love seeing the 3-D effect you can get with fabric blocks. If I did it over, I would choose some different fabrics for the lightest block. It just doesn't stand out as well--not enough contrast, I guess.

Why I won't be making another soon? I promised hubby I would now work on a quilt for our king-size bed. And I can only concentrate on one quilt project at a time. But I am doing something challenging for me--a paper-pieced mariner's compass in the middle (and the rest of the blocks yet to be determined). Should be another 'interesting' project for me. I am using batiks for the compass. I love that fabric!
